This is the Latest Version of the VoiceWrite EX Digital Transcriber. The Lanier LX-230 replaces earlier LX-219-1 models and is 100% compatible with all VoiceWrite Systems. Unlike earlier versions of EX Stations, the Foot Pedal plugs directly into the back of the LX-230 station. This eliminates the terminal block and assorted cables that were needed for the foot pedal on those models,

Please Note: Lanier EX Stations require an Analog telephone line in order to operate correctly. These are standard land lines commonly called a "POTS" line. They will NOT work with VOIP provider VONAGE or MAGIC JACK!
ALSO: The VoiceWrite EX Station is a TRANSCRIBER, it is used to call into a remote Lanier System to TRANSCRIBE Voice files already stored on that system. The EX Station CANNOT be used as a CALL IN Dictation System, it is a Call In TRANSCRIBE Station!!
